Planted: Swiss startup brings new meat alternative to Austria

In Austria, two products will initially be available from the end of January: "planted. chicken Natur" and "planted. chicken Kräuter & Zitrone". Outside of Spar, the startup's products can also be found in their own online shop. The founders are already very satisfied with the market entry in Germany and Switzerland: "Our success in Switzerland and Germany shows that our products are right on trend. The consumption of meat substitute products has experienced an enormous upswing in recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic," says Pascal Bieri. As Austria is currently still in lockdown, the new products could therefore experience a similar development here as well.
